Pastors for Peace Caravans in EP Friday

The Pastors for Peace Caravans will be coming through El Paso. There will be two buses, one from the West Coast, and the second from New Mexico. The public is welcome to join us in a pot luck supper, and talk at 6 pm on Friday, June 27 at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 4425 Byron — corner of Taylor and Byron. The buses will be carrying medical and school supplies to Cuba donated by groups across the U.S. and Canada. Nita Palmar will share her experience as a former participant in the Pastors for Peace Caravan last year. This is the first caravan to be heading for Cuba since the resignation of Fidel Castro, and a great opportunity for individuals to hear what is happening in Cuba, and what hopes we have for the future.
