Border Network for Human Rights Fundraiser July 18

June 26, 2008

The public is invited to join the Border Network for Human Rights at its 10th Anniversary fundraising dinner July 18 in El Paso.

The Border Network for Human Rights is a local 501(c)3 organization using a
grassroots organizing model working in immigrant communities to document
human rights violations and educate people about their rights, especially in
a massive immigration law enforcement context, such as we face here in the
borderlands. This year, they are celebrating their 10th Anniversary of
meaningful and effective work in the El Paso/southern New Mexico region.

On July 18th, they will have a fundraising dinner with tickets at $50 per
person. It will be generously catered (as a donation) by the Rock ‘n Roll
CafĂ©–should be better than the usual banquet food. The specifics are as
follows: July 18, 6-9 PM, St. Pius Church hall, 1050 N. Clark, El Paso.

Tickets can be obtaned from Saul Soto at 915-577-0724,

If you want to help the Network, but are unable to attend, they are looking for people to sponsor community members by purchasing tickets for them at $50 each. There are higher levels ofsponsorship–you can ask Saul about this also.
