Peace Groups March in Silver on July 4th

The Grant County Peace Coalition and The Campaign for a Department of Peace are co-sponoring a space in the Independence Day parade in Silver City on Friday, July 4. Marchers with the peace groups will gather no later than 9:30 am near the Med Square Building on Pope Street. The parade begins at 10:00 am. The space allotted to the groups is Number 28 and the theme for the parade is “independence Means….”

No bullhorns will be allowed and participants may decide how to express their views on the theme. Organizers from the peace groups encourage participation and invite all to walk with them. For more information contact Chris Aquino, <reelmirage@yahoo.com>
