Journalist Talks on Political History of Mexico

John Gibler, an independent journalist who has covered Mexican political issues for Pacifica Radio, Democracy Now! and Indymedia, will present a lecture on his new book “Mexico Unconquered” (City Lights Press, 2008) Thursday March 5, 6-8 pm at the Center for Latin American and Border Studies, NMSU (1200 University Ave, directly across from Kinko’s).
The book concerns the political history of Mexico, with analysis of current situation and social movements in Chiapas and Oaxaca. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing. The event is free and open to the public. For more information contact Neil Harvey, 575-646-6816.
