Rich People: Shut Up Now

February 27, 2009

By Xandtrek.

Rich people need to shut up now.

You rich people have been whining a lot lately about how Obama is going to create a vast socialist society that will threaten to make you less wealthy. Your right-wing nut jobs are apoplectic:  the President is going to redistribute the wealth from the rich to the poor. You are upset that you have to hide your jets and island paradises you purchased with our late fees and dead relatives who couldn’t afford your health care system.  You are so persecuted. So what?

The opposite system has been in place for years. Wealth has been clearly and deliberately redistributed from the poor to the wealthy for over 30 years. Laws and policies have been written to promote this redistribution. Special interests and politicians have worked together to ensure that the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.

So shut up now. You people were not content to get rich – you had to rape and pillage to the point that you have destroyed the global economy, and possibly the earth as a viable planet for human beings.

Your ideas are failed and yet you still promote them as gospel. Some of your wealth did trickle down – in a very, very, grudgingly slow process.  And most of us got left behind in your dust. And some boats floated up with you, but a bunch sank to the bottom where you couldn’t see, or didn’t want to see. Globalization means other countries need to pay really low wages to workers, get rid of unions, and accept debt that they can never pay off. I’m sure the world is thanking you now.

Even if you are a decent wealthy person, who worked hard for your money, gave a lot of it away for a tax deduction and an interview on Charlie Rose, and maybe you didn’t sell your soul — you shut up now too.

So you were born in the right time, at the right place, to the right parents, or you got really lucky, or God decided you should be richer than him, or you just lied and stole your way to your privileged position. Guess what? It’s not your time anymore and you need to SHUT UP because we want to hunt you down and take it all away from you. Sleep well.

Ooh, pretty cranky when we wrote this, weren’t we?

Maybe because house minority leader John A. Boehner says Obama’s tax increases will cut deeply into the middle class.

Maybe it’s because Obama says his tax increases will only affect those making about $250,000/yr. or more.

Maybe it’s because you put these two together and realize maybe house minority leader John A. Boehner thinks the cut off for ‘middle classedness’ ends at the $250,000/yr. income level and everyone below that, i.e., the vast, vast majority of Americans are the dregs of society who are pulling the nation down into total collapse.

Maybe you make less than $250,000/yr.? Ergo, that makes you (and me) and lots and lots of other citizens realize what a drag on society we all are for the’haves and have-mores’?

And maybe that’s why you are so cranky — because you are awake?

Oh John Boehner, my hero! I can learn from him how to talk out of my sides of my mouth and my ass at the same time. Such a talent.

Yeah, I’m cranky and I’m poor and I’m the dregs of the earth.

And I know where you live.

So Joe the Plumber had Obama pegged all along, but would we listen? Now we’ve got a Marxist in the White House and true patriots are reduced to answering polls on SeanHannity.com, including one earlier this week, which asked what kind of revolution would you like to see: A military coup; armed rebellion or a war for secession? If the wealthy are going to be punished for their success at avarice, where has justice gone? We are surely on our way to becoming Sweden, if not the Soviet Union! So talk of violent overthrow of the government is perfectly in order: As someone said, it’s not treason if you win.

Personally, I’m all for secession. Opposing it was Lincoln’s big mistake. Just think of the progress we’ve have made without the South for the last 150 years. And states that are still red after eight years of Bush can hoist the Confederate flag and give the rich a break on taxes if they want to. We might have a refugee problem (including a few friends from El Paso) but we’ve got good soil here and a couple of .22s. Yeah, I guess we better get to the gun shows while we can.

You rule, Xandtrek! I wish somebody had told those rich people in Miami to shut up a long time ago. They’ve been whining about Cuba since forever or since the late 1950′s (which seems like forever). But with this post, you’ve gotten that job accomplished…AND MORE, much more: all the $250,000+/year earners can now shut up too! Yeah! Xandtrek for dreg’s queen.

Got something to say?
