Important Points About TIDDs Lies

March 1, 2009

Greg Lennes gave me permission to forward his email and Bob Hearn adds the following to Greg’s excellent points:

“No matter WHAT the developers promise, they are REQUIRED by the state law to do NOTHING.  Their plans are a basis for the initial approval of their TIDDs, but there is no provision whatever that the plans be executed, and no penalty for failure.

“Also, TIDD funds build infrastructure – roads, sidewalks, parks, flood control, even schools and police stations.  But there is no connection between those things and jobs.  The developers wave their arms and say ‘TIDDs = JOBS’ and that captures the politicians.  But in fact ‘TIDDs = ROADS’ and that has nothing to do with jobs.

“TIDD funding vastly increases the profits of the developers – and that’s ALL THEY DO!”

Need more convincing of outright corruption, malfeasance and stupidity?  Then be sure to google SunCal + New Mexico!  Or go to www.followthemoney.org <http://www.followthemoney.org> , type in “SunCal,” and marvel at how cheaply some legislators’ votes can be bought.

That is what happens when the people are asleep at the wheel. If you don’t watch how these legislators are being influenced by their lobbyists, then you deserve what you get.

Got something to say?
