Community March and Rally Friday

Several groups are sponsoring a community march on Friday, May 1, as border communities ask for respect and dignity, including the following:
Comprehensive Immigration
Reform Now
Accountable Border Policies
Worker’s Rights
Stop the Raids and Separation of Families
Marchers will gather at 4:30 pm at the Corner of Mills and Walnut in central El Paso, and will march towards the “Mercado Mayapan” (4:45) where they will join in a solidarity Workers Rights Rally with the Mujer Obrera at the displaced worker’s new Mercado & Technology Center. Afterwards the march will continue towards in the Plaza de los Lagartos and begin the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Rally at 5:45 pm.
After the Rally, local bands will be playing.
