Help plan peace, non-violence regional conference

Not to long ago Tim Reed sent out an email announcing the Campaign for a Department of Peace and Non-Violence is having a regional conference and that New Mexico is hosting. Until there is an actual venue booked for a specific weekend I will only say that we are shooting for the end of June 2010 in Santa Fe. If any of you want to get in on the planning of this event come to the regular meeting of the Las Cruces DOP on November 14, 2009. I will be there to give you more info and to answer any questions that I am able to. I know that we are fast coming up on the holidays. Be that as it may, we will have many opportuities to tell people about The Campaign for a Department of Peace.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. As you all know, It is our holiday of gratitude. It is a national holiday. America will be expressing its gratitude to God, Your Higher Power, That Which Is Greater Than Yourself or The Light That Is Within, however you express your spirituality. What will you say that you thankful for. Certainly for you, family and friends. If you are healthy, be grateful. Me? I am grateful to have love in my life. The love of my partner, Mary. The love of my children, Zach, Kaitlyn, Holly and Christie (though none of them are children anymore). The love of my close friends. I am thankful that this year I have connected with long lost family members. It has been a joy to do so. And, yes, I am grateful to live in America. A country where there is freedom to have your voice heard. Freedom to express your likes and dislikes about America. I want us, as a nation, to follow the path of our “Better Angels”. That is why I am a part of the Campaign for a Department of Peace and Non-Violence. My love goes out to all of you.
