Roundtable schedule for November
Nov 8 Paul O’Connell: “Sustainable Farming-A Valid Alternative”
This is another presentation in a series we will have this year on “Ethical Eating” (understanding the economic, cultural, environmental, and ethical issues involved in the production of our food)
Nov 15 Faith Hutson: Return to Bali
In September, Faith was unable to show us her pictures and give her planned presentation on Bali. Her ad-lib presentation was very good, but her planned presentation is even better. So today we will be returning to Bali with Faith.
Nov 22 Wilma Hutson: The Orangutans of Borneo
Wilma & Bobbie Hutson spent a couple of weeks as volunteers at a Borneo sanctuary for Orangutans. Wilma will share this unique experience with us, and tell us what she learned about the lives of Orangutans.
Nov 29 What would be the ramifications of legalizing Drugs?
Would we be better off legalizing drugs or would we just be trading one set of problems for a new set? How would we go about it? We accept that there is family abuse due to alcohol abuse and 50% of auto fatalities are due to alcohol abuse. What would we have to accept as inevitable with other kinds of drug abuse? Bring your thoughts and ideas on this important subject.
