With our troops in over 150 countries, with almost 50% of the world's defense dollars spent by the US, with one of our major imports being arms, with the insatiable gyre of the defense industries, contractors, and lobbyists, with the corporatized, complacent, media making it so easy for us to live in denial of our militarized society... Tragically, in order to maintain the status quo, and without a great societal shift in thinking, we need war. I can’t help but wonder how inevitable is unending war.
