Wow. That kind of party might actually convince me to stay in this country. As of now, I'm considering moving to Canada or even Mexico. My favorite quote right now is, "I'm feeling much better since I gave up all hope."

As a former liberal and feminist I feel that I have moved beyond this terminology and consider myself a progressive. I also believe the two parties no longer adequately address the problems or issues in this country. Both parties appear to be in the pocket of the big corporations and as such will never give the American people more than a token. A bone thrown to us once in awhile to keep us thinking that they are working for us. Tell me where I can sign up to become a member of this third party and I'll be there in "New York" minute. I also think Kusinich would be a good man to head this party. He seems to be one of the few people in Congress who are not corrupt.

This speaks to my mind, heart and soul. Progressives have made definite inroads and impact on local government and the community where I live in both non-partisan and partisian elections. But, how do Progressives achieve national party status and the ability to put the platform that you describe into action?
