Las Cruces Green Chamber of Commerce kicks off First Friday series
February 23, 2010
Shahid Mustafa, general manager of Mountain View Market, will speak on “The Triple Bottom Line” at the Mountain View Market, 1300 El Paseo Road in Las Cruces, on Friday, March 5, from noon to 1 pm. The presentation will be a part of the First Friday luncheon series sponsored by the Las Cruces Green Chamber of Commerce.
The “Triple Bottom Line” is a term used by businesses that seek to balance financial, social, and environmental performance. A “Triple Bottom Line” focus can help build long-term stability for local merchants and other businesses.
“The Mountain View Market aims to improve the quality of life of our customers, employees, community and environment,” Mustafa said. “This has been a good business approach for us as well – last year our sales increased enough to place us in the top quartile of businesses nationally.”
The First Friday lunchtime series is sponsored by the Las Cruces Green Chamber of Commerce, and will feature ways to foster the success of our local economy and businesses committed to environmental and social responsibility.
Reservations are necessary for the March 5 presentation, and interested people are urged to register early because space is limited. For $8 a box lunch will be provided by Café Verde restaurant. To reserve a place, call Connie Falk at 527-1534 or email her at firstfridayGCOC@gmail.com.
