LCAA shows Las Montanas HS student art
March 13, 2010
Students of Las Montanas High School, under the direction of art teacher Toni Gilman, present the exhibit “Visual Beginnings.” at the new Nopalitos Galeria, next door to the restaurant, at 326 S. Mesquite. The opening reception will be held on Friday, April 9th, from 4 to 6 pm. Gilman started the art program at this charter high school this year, and the students wish to thank Las Cruces Art Association for giving them this opportunity to display their work in public. This is the third high school student exhibit sponsored by the association. The exhibit will be on display through April, and the gallery is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 8:30 pm. The public is invited to attend and support the work of these young artists.
This is a new Galleria and a new group of student art. The school is located at 201 E Amador and the phone number there is 636-2100. Las Montanas High School is a small year round charter school with a college preparatory focus.
