Support curbside recycling

Now is the time, for all SCRaP members and supporters to get in front of our cause.
On the Sunday 9/5/2010 editorial page, a gentleman by the name of Ted A. Morris, Jr. has come out publicly AGAINST curbside recycling because of the cost. Basically, his facts are incorrect and he is spreading fear, telling everyone that they will be branded criminals and get sued if they don’t recycle. We all know this is not true. Broken down, the cost is .08 cents per day.
Last night’s District meeting was irritating more than anything else. The wackos, are coming out of the woodwork trying to get their 15 minutes of fame. Willful ignorance is their mindset.
We urge each and everyone of you to phone/email the Sound Off 541-5466 soundoff@lcsun-news.com and write letters to the Editor letter@lcsun-news.com in favor of curbside recycling (Option 2). E-mail (yes, again) the City Council citycouncil@las-cruces.org.
