ANSWER plans May Day march and rally May 1

April 30, 2014

May 1st is International Workers Day, also known as May Day. Every year it is celebrated around the world as a day of international working class solidarity. Demonstrations take place from Africa to Asia, across South and North America and Europe.

In 2006, the mass immigrant rights movement resurrected May Day in the United States, and it has now become a people’s tradition here once again.

Join the ANSWER Coalition and other organizations this Thursday for this year’s May Day march and rally to demand:
Full rights for immigrants! Stop all deportations now! End all police cooperation with ICE!
Dignity for all workers: living wage, sick leave, equal pay for women, benefits and respect!
Money for jobs, health care, housing, education – not the war machine!
Join one these four marches that will be converging at Gateway Park Bridge & Isleta.

North: Gather @ Park and 10th SW
South: Gather @ Westside Community Ctr (1250 Isleta SW)
