NMSU hosts book presentation in Spanish

New Mexico State University’s Center for Latin American and Border Studies will host a book presentation in Spanish at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Nason House, 1070 University Ave.

Willivaldo Delgadillo’s newest book, “Garabato,” will be discussed. The book’’s four main characters, a writer, a journalist, a politician and a homeless man, tell the story of what life is like in Juárez, Mexico.

Jose Manual Garcia, Spanish professor in the department of languages and linguistics, and Adriana Candia, Spanish instructor also in the department of languages and linguistics, are making the presentation. The book will be on sale at the event, and a reception will follow.

NMSU’’s Department of Languages and Linguistics, the Center for Latin American and Border Studies, the literary workshop “Pizca a las 6:30” and the literary journal “Arenas Blancas” are sponsoring the presentation.
