Film looks at NRA past and present

The Pax Christi film for October investigates how the National Rifle Association consistently manages to defeat new gun-control legislation. Featuring voices on both sides of the gun-regulation debate, story the film provides an understanding of how the NRA evolved from a group of gun enthusiasts and sportsmen to a powerful lobbying force.

“Gunned Down: The Power of the NRA” will be screened at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 9, at the Mother Teresa Center, 2400 East Yandell Drive, El Paso. A lively discussion will follow.
