Pax Christi Film Series presents “Budrus”

March 6, 2017

Film shows nonviolent resistance in Palestine

Pax Christi’s film for March is the story of a Palestinian leader who unites Fatah, Hamas and Israelis in an unarmed movement to save his village from destruction. Success eludes them until his 15-year-old daughter jumps into the fray. “Budrus” is the name of the village and the name of the film.

Show time is 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, in the St. Joseph School auditorium. Entrance to the school parking lot is across from the church rectory at 1315 Travis Street, El Paso. Admission is free.

Sponsors of this series of documentary films are Pax Christi El Paso and the Peace and Justice Ministry of the Catholic Diocese of El Paso. Information: (915) 740-3962.
