From 5:00 to 5:30pm, join Southwest Soulidarity in their weekly vigil at the federal building to stand with Standing Rock and other Native American communities against the imposition of polluting oil pipelines on sacred ground and water.
“Lost in Detention” sponsored by the Social Justice Committee film series, Unitarian Universalist Church, 2000 S. Solano. Film will be shown in the Library at 7:00pm. This documentary investigates the deportations and detentions under the Obama administration. Join Frontline correspondent Maria Hinojosa who journeyed into the secretive world of immigrant detention, with a penetrating look at who is being detained and what is happening to them. Popcorn will be provided and donations are welcome.
