Pax Christi presents “Requiem for the American Dream”

“Requiem for the Americn Dream” is a profoundly personal film, in which philosopher and social critic Noam Chomsky speaks about the concentration of wealth and power in the hands of a select few. The film will be screened at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, in El Paso’s St. Joseph School auditorium.

Through interviews, Chomsky traces a half-century of policies he says have been designed to favor the most wealthy at the expense of the majority. He also looks back on his own life of activism and political participation. A discussion will follow.

Admission is free, and ll are invited. Entrance is through the school parking lot across from the church rectory at 1315 Travis Street. This is part of the monthly film series sponsored by Pax Christi El Paso and the Peace and Justice Ministry of the El Paso Catholic Diocese.
