     2019 Juneteenth Unity Banquet, “So Much at Stake,” will feature keynote speaker Dr. Ernest Johnson, Esq.  Dr. Johnson is Professor at Southern University Law Center.  The dinner begins at 6:00pm and will be held at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Rd.  Tickets for this annual event sponsored by the NAACP-DAC at $50 may be purchased on the NAACP website,  Call 575-635-7538 for more information.

     Borderland Rainbow Center Gala will take place at the El Paso Zoo.  BRC is El Paso’s LGBTQ Community Center and this Pride Gala and Awards Ceremony is its major fundraiser.  The Gala will have a silent and live auction, entertainment, drinks, special guests, and will be hosted by Del Shores, Executive Producer of Queer as Folk.  The keynote speaker will be Jesus Valles, native El Pasoan and Playwright-Performer.  Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased at  Ticket includes dinner and wine (cash bar will be available).
