Sept. 1: Fred Martino, Director of Content for KRWG Public Media, “The Challenges Facing the News Media” Will discuss: what the community demands from public media; importance of media to a functioning democracy; and issues facing public media. Looking forward to questions

Sept. 8: James Basler, Original Church Member & Scientist, “My pursuit of a Career & Family while being partially blind”.  In Minnesota in the 1950s, I was an experiment to prove a person with limited vision could complete college. Sept. 15:  El Paso Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club (EPBSMC) “It is our mission to do good things in our community and be positive role models for our youth.”  In particular, the club honors and works for recognition of the contributions and sacrifices of the Buffalo Soldiers and Tuskegee Airmen.  We’ll hear from some of the members of this interesting club and discuss their mission and accomplishments with them.

Sept. 22:  Delia Torres, History Teacher, Centennial High School.  “Nuevo México: El Pasado al Presente” A timeline of historical events that shaped our great state of New Mexico.
