Why advertise in Grassroots Press?

  • Founded in May, 2003, Grassroots Press is a print and online newspaper, blog and community resource. We present a progressive, alternative source of ideas, information and a networking nexus for southern New Mexico and beyond. The print version is published bi-monthly in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Our focuses include peace/nonviolence, environment, civil liberties, foreign policy, social justice, global awareness, fair trade, localism and sustainability, as well as an abiding appreciation for music and art as a force for change. We maintain a commitment to outreach, education and peaceful dialogues within our communities.

  • Advertising revenues will be used to meet overhead expenses and publishing costs. Your support will sustain the vital presence of independent media in our community. To preserve the integrity of our grassroots origin and editorial independence, we will not accept advertising from major corporate entities.

  • 4,000-5,000 copies of each issue are printed and distributed in Las Cruces and surrounding communities, including Deming, Silver City, Alamogordo, El Paso, Truth or Consequences, Socorro, Cloudcroft, Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

  • Grassroots Press is published every two months:
    Dec/Jan, Feb/Mar, Apr/May, Jun/Jul, Aug/Sept, Oct/Nov
    All issues appear on or about the first of the month.

Grassroots Press reaches an educated, socially conscious readership eager to support community businesses and organizations that share their goals and concerns.

  • We offer basic design services but prefer camera-ready art in digital file formats.
  • Ad copy deadline: 15th of month before insertion. Content is subject to editorial approval.
  • Payment is required at time of order.
  • Discounts (same camera-ready ad copy, minimum size 1/8 page, payment in advance):
