Park Williams (https://nmsuccess1.wordpress.com/speaker-bios/) at the Rio Grande Theater as the final lecture in the NMSU Climate Change Education Seminar Series.  The program begins at 7:00pm.

     World Health Day

     Great Decisions—Walled Off: Global Migration is the topic of the weekly Roundtable at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 2000 S. Solano.  A video by the Foreign Policy Association will be viewed followed by a discussion of concerns with immigration, the impact of climate change, and problems associated with assimilating and economically integrating likely migrants.  Roundtable is from 10:30-11:30am in the church library.

     Jewish Food Folk Festival 2019 features sights, sounds, and tastes of Jewish culture and tradition.  There will be a Bazaar, a family fun area, and music and dance performances, RAIN OR SHINE, from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Temple Beth-El, 3980 Sonoma Springs Ave.

     Health Care Delivery Systems will be the theme for a panel of speakers hosted by Indivisible LAS CRUCES at the Branigan Library Roadrunner Room.  Come and learn more about Health Security for New Mexico and proposed Medicare and Medicaid options.  Program begins at 5:00pm.

     NM Legislative De-Brief hosted by Southern New Mexico New Progressives will be held from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Southwest Environmental Center, 275 N Main St.

     BNHR 20th Anniversary Awards Dinner 2019 will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Hall, 1050 N. Clark, El Paso at 6:00pm.  Tickets at $50 each may be reserved by contacting Teresa Nevarez at 575-520-7071 or tnevarez@bnhr.org.  Honorees are Linda Rivas (Exec Dir of Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center), Melissa Lopez (Exec Dir of Diocesan Migrant and Refugee Services), Ruben Garcia (Exec Dir of Annunciation House), TX Rep. Mary Gonzalez, TX Rep. Cesar Blanco, and human rights advocate and organizer Maria Jimenez.  Congresswoman Veronica Escobar will be the dinner’s keynote speaker.
